Jennifer HordJennifer is a graduate of The University of Texas where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science.  Jennifer originally thought about pursuing a law career, but found her real passion was in nutrition. After being accepted into law school, she boldly made a significant career change to pursue her nutrition degree and her desire to helps others. She is committed to helping people become optimally healthy and well through food.

Jennifer has worked in a variety of nutritional and healthcare formats. She has experience working in both traditional medical settings for Austin hospitals, clinics and in the community where she championed nutritional education for at-risk populations and children through local food banks and community organizations.  She facilitated a unique, national nutrition program identifying populations here in the United States without secure access to food. Through this program she both created a sustainable food source for them and assisted them in gaining nutritional knowledge and tools to improve their health as well as the health of their families.

At Ruthie Harper MD, Jennifer works as a nutritionist focusing on personalized food programs, exercise and lifestyle modification to help people achieve optimal health. She creates innovative solutions to solve real life barriers to success so people can reach their health and weight loss goals.  She is versed in a variety of eating preferences and styles, allowing her to provide customized nutritional support to each individual patient.
