Nurse Practitioner
Tyler Young is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner who specializes in integrative health. An Austin, Texas native she followed her calling to pursue a career in medicine where she earned her Bachelor of Health and Exercise degree at Colorado State University. Tyler then furthered her career by attending Vanderbilt University where she became a Registered Nurse and earned her Master of Nursing degree.
Her nursing experience at Vanderbilt Hospital confirmed her desire to provide an integrative approach to care by identifying the root cause of symptoms in order to help patients create optimal healing and disease prevention. She is devoted to helping you find the underlying cause of your symptoms or illness and to equip you with the preventative tools to maximize your potential and provide you with long term health and healing.
As a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner, Tyler devotes time to continuing her education in functional and integrative health while staying up to date in the latest literature and evidence-based best practices. Clients report her ability to take a deeper dive into her client’s health journey by listening intently allows her to utilize advanced tools to interpret personalized data, and provide nutritional guidance and lifestyle modifications.
She took advantage of her time in Colorado as an avid skier and hiker and these experiences have helped her deepen her appreciation of the impact that nature and physical activity have on overall health and wellbeing.
Tyler now lives in Austin, Texas with her Bernedoodle puppy, Buckley. She first learned about Ruthie Harper, MD as a client and has seen the positive outcomes firsthand. Tyler is devoted to the vision of Ruthie Harper, MD and aims to help patients feel, look, and perform their best. She currently enjoys running town lake, boating, exploring new healthy restaurants/coffee shops, and finding any excuse to listen to live music.
